From Harlem to the World

Naveyah “Naz” Damon

Nothing worth having comes easy—but if you stay true to yourself and work hard, there’s always a way forward.

I was born in Harlem, New York, where resilience is part of everyday life.

My mom immigrated from Oman, so hustling for what we need runs in the family.

Growing up in that environment lit a fire in me to build something bigger than myself—something my family, friends, and community could point to and say, “We can do it, too.”

Content became my megaphone. Sharing my story lets others in the same position know there is a path out and that their background can be the fuel, not the weight, of their dreams.

How it Started

I picked up a camera two years ago and just hit record.

Since then, being unapologetically me has racked up millions of views on Instagram.

Consistency, discipline, and authentic connection turned quick clips into a platform.

The turning point arrived with my first big check.

It wasn’t about the dollar amount; it was about being able to help my family and realizing the late nights were paying off.

That moment became my reminder: this grind is for the people I love.

Creating Opportunities

I’ve landed a handful of NIL partnerships, and I’m grateful for every single one—each brand took a chance on my story.

But the collab that sticks out was with Fenty Beauty.

Stepping onto that set was incredible; I love being in that atmosphere.

That campaign became a launchpad: I walked in with about 15 K followers and walked out with over 40 K—and a clear vision of where I’m headed.

Modeling is a passion of mine, and Fenty proved I can thrive in that world.

The door’s open now, and I’m sprinting through it, ready for the next shoot and the next story to tell.

My Advice to Athletes

  • Be yourself, always. Your story is your power—don’t let other people’s opinions water it down.
  • Post every day. Consistency and hard work turn confidence into opportunities.
  • Stay grateful. Remember where you came from and thank every door that opens.

My own path proves it.

I grew up in Harlem and later lived in the DMV, Miami, and now Los Angeles; each place shaped my voice.

I’m Black, Puerto Rican, Arabic, Persian, and Hawaiian, and embracing every part of that mix makes me stronger and more confident.

The journey hasn’t been easy—injuries, moves, late-night edits—but every challenge has built mental and physical strength.

If my content shows even one athlete that better days are coming, then all the grind is worth it.

My Legacy

Strength. Persistence. Discipline. Hard work.

Those are the pillars I want people to see when my name pops up. No shortcuts, just consistency and hours logged.

I aim to be a role model, not just for my little brother and sister, but for younger generation of athletes.

The daily DMs—“You inspire me, I know I can do it too”—fuel me. Forty thousand followers is a blessing, but impact is the real metric.

Content isn’t about clout; it’s a megaphone for voices that feel unheard.

I want to show everyone, no matter their background, that embracing their uniqueness can unlock dreams.

Looking ahead, I’ll keep creating, modeling, and collaborating, always evolving, and always reaching for new ways to lift others.

I’m grateful for every opportunity and every bit of support, and I can’t wait to pour it back into Harlem and every place that helped shape me. With each post, I stay true to my mission: hustle with heart, inspire others, and stay true to myself.
