About Me
Chase is starting his second season of D1 Men's Ice Hockey. He is excited about his opportunity to play for Coach Marottolo and Sacred Heart University. As a freshman, Chase won a National Championship with Quinnipiac University. The highlight of his career came in 2021 when Chase was drafted by the Washington Capitals of the NHL in the sixth round. He was the only US born goalie to be selected that draft year.. After attending two developmental camps with the Capitals, many in the organization consider him to be one of the top goalie prospects. His second highest honor came when he was 15 years old and moved to Toronto to play for the Toronto Nationals of the GTHL. He was picked to participate in the Top Prospects game of the league. He was chosen as his team's MVP of the game from the all star roster. He was recognized at center ice with hockey legend Don Cherry. Previous to college hockey, Chase spent many years playing junior hockey. In the USHL he had a successful playoff run with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He also played for the Tri-City Storm. During Covid, Chase was grateful to play for the New Jersey Hitman of the USPHL. He had a very successful season in net winning the regular and playoff season championship. He holds the distinct honor of being the first player from the USPHL drafted to the NHL. Chase also played junior hockey in the OJHL for his hometown team, the Buffalo Junior Sabres and also played in the GOHL for the Buffalo Regals. Chase started playing organized hockey at the age of seven. He instantly took to goaltending because his favorite player at the time was Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres. As a youth, Chase played AAA hockey for his hometown teams Wheatfield Blades and Buffalo Regals before moving to Canada to play in the GTHL. He attended Everest Academy which is a private hockey school in Vaughan, Ontario. Chase lives in Williamsville, New York. His parents are Doug and Keri Clark. He comes from a sports family. He has three sisters all of whom were all D1 athletes. His oldest sister Brianna played softball at Niagara University. Madison played volleyball at East Carolina University and Summer played softball at Florida Atlantic University.
